Vocabulary: fruits, vegetables, colors.
Grammar: “What color is it?” / “Fruit or vegetable?”
The teacher chooses a secret fruit or vegetable.
The students then ask as a class, “What color is it?”. The teacher answers, “It’s red / brown…”
The students then ask as a class, “Fruit or vegetable?”. The teacher answers, then the class guesses what the secret food is.
Reward correct answers as you like!

Materials: blank paper and crayons.
Review colors, numbers, body parts. Call out a color and a body part, and the students must draw it. Explain that it’s just for fun, there’s no big rules. Leave enough time at the end to display the lovely artwork.

Materials: 5-7 strips of colored paper for each student.
Teach a greeting, then each student have them greet eachother and exchange colors until they have a rainbow. Could have a worksheet to go along with it, too. Could use with other themes, too.

Materials: Worksheets with objects, 1 envelope of objects and 1 envelope of colors, crayons.
Maybe BINGO sheets: Bingo Sheets
Review/teach objects and colors. Hand out worksheets. Pick a student to come to the front and select an object and a color from the envelopes. Then they say “blue books!”. The students color in the book on the worksheet with blue. Can adapt to BINGO afterwards, maybe.

Materials: vocabulary and color cards
Put vocab cards in back, color cards in front. 3-4 groups. 1 student from each group starts. You yell “go” and they run to the back, get a vocab card, run to the front, get a color card, and the 1st student to say “I like red fish” gets points. Materials: none
Call out a color, or “touch something color”. students must touch or bring something to you of that color. Use a countdown but don’t kick anyone out.

Teach the colors and Left/Right Hand/Foot, then have students compete in pairs.

Materials: none or flashcards
Divide students into color teams. When you call a color, that team runs from one end of gym to other. If you tag them, they stay in middle with you and help tag next victims. If you call “Red Rover all Over!” then everyone runs (but means you can’t have a red team).

Materials: A stoplight or large color cards to show students.
Beware, use only if students are well behaved. students start at one end of the gym. When you say “green light” they start running (or skipping, etc.) to other side of gym. When you say “red light” they must stop. First student to other side wins. Can say “yellow light” and have them do some silly dance, too.
