Materials: clock, gym.

Teach “What time is it, Mr. Wolf?” + times on the clock.

The students line up at one end of the gym. You start as the wolf in the middle. The students ask “What time is it, Mr. Wolf?”, and the you (the wolf) say “It’s 3 o’clock!”.

The students must take 3 steps forward. Continue on.

When the wolf decides that the students are too close to the opposite wall, the wolf says “It’s dinner time!!”. Now, the students must run back to the original side of the gym, avoiding the wolf. Meanwhile, the wolf tries to tag as many students as it can. Those students that are tagged get to be wolves, too, and can tag more during the next “dinner time”.

OR, have the first student tagged be the new wolf. There are many variations.

Materials: decks of cards without the jokers.
students get into groups of 4-5. Each group gets a deck of cards. student A asks student B “What time is it?”. B pulls a card from the deck. If it’s a 4, for example, B says “It’s 4 o’clock”. If it’s a face card, then they must add 30 minutes, so, for example, “It’s 4:30”, after they pull a # card. Then B asks C and it continues. If C gets the same card that B had pulled, then it’s B’s turn again after C goes, and continue in reverse. The student with the most cards at the end wins.
