Materials: Flashcards for the students to hold.
students form groups (hopefully 7). 1 – 2 students from each group get to come to you and get a secret day-of-the-week card. They leave the room with the ALT or JTE, and the other teacher stays in the classroom to help the groups.
In turn, each group must chant a day of the week. They hope that that day is their team member’s day, so they can get their member to come back. But if it’s another team’s member, then they just helped the other team! The first group to get both members back win. Make sure to continue so everyone gets to be called to come back in.

Materials: A large list of colors big enough for whole class to see
Time: 10 min.
In pairs, students say the colors (or days of week, etc.) back and forth. The first pair to sit down (when they have finished) is the winner.
